Most babies at this age are still toppling over when they sit up. I think my ds was still a bit wobbley til well over 9 months even though he could sit unaided briefly at 5 months. DS didn't hold his own bottle til nearly a year old and I wouldn't even expect a baby under 9 months to wave.
