WebJul 22, 2024 · So I bought a small magnet, and with the step out, I held the magnet near the two places on the door frame that looked possible. On one, the step retracted. With the step retracted, I turned off the 12v. power. Then when returning, I flip on the power, and the step comes out. I store the magnet just inside the door.
